Moths
Moth larvae feed on clothes and carpets, and can do extensive damage if unnoticed. A water-based insecticide is used on all soft furnishings and permanent fixtures, especially those in cold, dark places, as moths prefer these environment. The adults do not feed, and thus have a short lifespan of approximately 21 days, but it is the larvae that feed, preferring organic fibres such as wool, especially if dirty or soiled.
