Cockroach Infestation 24/7
Cockroaches are a major health hazard to both commercial and domestic owners. They can carry a number of different diseases such as salmonella and dysentery. To eliminate the infestation there a couple of solutions our trained pest controllers can carry out. IGR bait is an insect growth regulator that stops the cockroach replacing its skin. IGR bait is applied in small doses around the infestation and away from human contact; this is a highly effective method of removing the infestation. Another solution is Permethrin dust, which is used in cases of the infestation in roofs or under floors. Both of these products are two of the safest insecticides to humans ,dogs and cats. At Able Pest we will provide advice and measures to prevent any further infestation. Our emergency operations centre is available 24/7 for any queries you may have.

Carpet Beetles
The Adult varied carpet beetle is 2-4mm long. Its body strongly convexed, with a variable colouration of brown, black and mottled with yellow or white scales on the dorsal surface. The larval, or "Woolly bear" stage, will produce the tell tale carpet damage to areas of carpet where they will not be disturbed, such as under heavy objects or along skirting boards.
These beetles lay their eggs in birds nests, and can find their way into the house via the attic, where they lay eggs in wool, fur and other organic material. These then hatch into larvae that shy away from light, and curl up into a ball when disturbed.
The larvae consume the organic matter, and then metamorphose into adults, who then seek out light and visit flowers for nectar and pollen. The first step of any carpet beetle pest control is to remove any birds nests, dead rodents, and old carpet scraps from the roof spaces, as all three can be reservoirs of infestation.
